Pre-Session — Origin Event (Weeks Before Session 1)
What happened: The team acted independently before the Alliance formally introduced them to the city. They targeted Casimir Vane at a warehouse. Burnout (Daniel Rojas) was also present — his own Vane vendetta, no coordination. The scuffle caused a large explosion. The warehouse event drew significant public attention.
Consequence: Casimir was arrested. The Alliance was forced to reveal the player team earlier than anticipated — they had a plan for a formal handoff; the players went out on their own first.
Who witnessed: Raze (Sterling’s half-sibling, Darkstar’s engineered child) observed the event from outside.
Current status: Casimir is out on bail. He is throwing a fundraiser gala for the city’s DA — a brazen public move while under indictment.
Session 1
Date played: March 2026 Arc beats covered: Beat 2 (Press Conference), Beat 3 partial (Signal’s first broadcast delivered mid-Beat 2)
What Happened
The press conference: New team formally introduced to the city. Senator Okafor present. Signal hacked all A.E.G.I.S. comms simultaneously — full blackout. SHADE constructs (cyborg cadavers in A.E.G.I.S. uniforms) attacked mid-conference and moved to extract Senator Okafor. Riley pursued and protected the Senator. Players handled the constructs.
Avi’s telepathy: Avi cracked the SHADE constructs’ minds during the fight. Intel extracted:
- The constructs are built from human bodies
- They were commissioned by Casimir Vane
- They were being controlled by Signal at the time of the attack
Signal’s broadcast: Signal used the A.E.G.I.S. blackout window to broadcast Kiara Je-rach’s full origin publicly:
- Her engineered nature and original mission (assess Earth for removal from cosmic record)
- Her Auditor “defective” designation
- Her barista civilian cover identity
- The internal A.E.G.I.S. transcript of their argument with Paragon over whether to trust her — in which Paragon staked his public reputation on her
A.E.G.I.S. response: Full lockdown. Cannot confirm scope of what was accessed.
Lila Ortega: MANIFEST director was present at the conference and attacked by SHADE constructs. Players saved her. Team now has influence over Lila Ortega.
Renegade footage: Grainy footage of Carter Williams (Renegade Force host) surfaced — someone stopping a car with their hands, walking away from the impossible. Avi recognized him from the footage. This is the person who assaulted her. She does not yet know his name or what he’s become.
End-of-session consequence: Kiara left Earth following Signal’s broadcast — her origin exposed, her cover destroyed, staying meant becoming a political object. She left Sterling a message: she explained her decision, expressed belief in him, said she wants to find her place in the universe. Her departure was a deliberate choice, not a flight. Signal’s reveal forced her hand.

Session 2
Date played: April 2026 Arc beats covered: Beat 4 partial (Sterling outed by Signal; Signal revealed “death” of Darkstar; Renegade reframed as hero), Beat 5 partial (Nightfall confrontation at Eclipse lab — Jason rejected pairing), Beat 6 partial (team found PROMETHEUS equipment at Eclipse research center, decided to destroy it)
What Happened
The Hall — Arrival at Local 44: The team made it to the Ironworkers’ Local 44. Introduced to Adrian Vega (Breakpoint) and Sloane Callahan (Arachne), who are already operating out of the building. Sloane is running a surveillance hub on the second floor; Adrian has the ground floor training space. The Hall is theirs now.
Signal’s Broadcast (Beat 4): Signal revealed the “death” of Darkstar — broadcasting footage of the Renegade Force destroying Darkstar’s ship, framing the Renegade as the hero who did what the Alliance couldn’t. Darkstar was presented as a threat the Alliance refused to deal with permanently. Renegade (Carter Williams) was reframed as a sympathetic figure — the person who stepped up when the institution wouldn’t.
Signal outed Sterling as Darkstar’s engineered son publicly. The city’s question: why is the team’s heavy hitter fighting alongside something that was built to cull them?
Sterling and Avi — Normalcy: Sterling and Avi went to class. They tried to carry on as normal while the city processed Signal’s broadcast.
Casper, Jason, and Rhys — The Nightfall Pursuit: Casper, Jason, and Rhys decided to pursue Nightfall rather than wait. Sloane revealed that Nightfall has been frequenting Eclipse research labs — she’d been tracking the pattern and flagged it when the team asked.
Eclipse Research Building — Stakeout and Confrontation: Casper, Jason, and Rhys staked out the Eclipse research building. They found Nightfall inside, actively destroying PROMETHEUS equipment.
Jason confronted Nightfall directly. The confrontation revealed key information about the nature of their powers: they were brought in by an unknown force (the Wavelengths) that pushes same-spectrum hosts to compete and pair. Nightfall’s kill instinct toward Artemis was amplified by this ecology — but the choice was still theirs.
Nightfall’s admission: Nightfall admitted Mary was the third person they have killed with low-frequency powers. The other two are unnamed. This expands Nightfall’s kill count beyond what was previously documented.
Jason rejects the pairing: Nightfall attempted to pair with Jason — the Wavelength ecology’s intended resolution. Jason rejected it. This is the first time a High Spectrum host has refused the complementary pairing. The Low Spectrum energy inside Jason remains unanchored; the countdown continues.
The team’s decision — Destroy the research center: After extracting information about PROMETHEUS from the lab, Casper, Jason, and Rhys decided to destroy the Eclipse research center. Not infiltrate, not document — destroy.
Sterling’s Ousting and Extraction: Signal outed Sterling publicly. Adrian and Sloane organized to extract Sterling safely. Avi came with the extraction team and brought Mason Matthews — a civilian ally of Adrian’s (and an independent cat burglar with a connection to the Ironworks underground). Mason’s presence at the extraction is notable: he is not part of the team, but Adrian trusted him enough to bring him in.
Casimir Vane — Mayoral Bid: Casimir Vane announced his bid for mayor. A man under indictment, running for the city’s highest office. The DA fundraiser gala is reframed as a benefit for first responders — happening tomorrow.
