Ingredients
- 8 large eggs
- Water to cover by 1 inch
- Ice + cold water for ice bath
Instructions
- Place eggs in a single layer in a saucepan. Cover with cold water by 1 inch.
- Bring to a full boil over medium-high heat.
- Once boiling, remove from heat, cover with a lid, and let sit for exactly 11 minutes .
- While eggs sit, fill a large bowl with ice and cold water.
- Transfer eggs immediately to the ice bath. Cool at least 10 minutes.
- Peel under cool running water. Store peeled or unpeeled. Meal Prep Notes
- Unpeeled: up to 1 week in the fridge.
- Peeled: up to 5 days in a container covered with water.
- The ice bath is not optional โ it stops cooking and prevents the green ring on the yolk.
- Use as a snack, slice over roasted veggies, or chop into a scramble.
